We train network engineers on MikroTik, fiber and Ubiquiti.

Courses run in Nairobi on real routers, splicers and radios. You sit the official certification exam at the end. We also design fiber and support WISPs, which is where most of the teaching examples come from.

What we do

We do three things.

Training is the main one. The other two are the day job that keeps the training current.

01

Training & Certifications

Courses taught by engineers who do this work daily. Labs run on real routers, fiber and radios rather than simulators.

  • MikroTik MTCNA → MTCINE ladder
  • Fiber optics: splicing, OTDR testing & FTTH design
  • Ubiquiti UniFi, airMAX & UISP
  • Corporate & team training on request
02

Fiber Design & Rollout

FTTx and backbone work: network design, BOQ, splicing, testing and handover.

  • GPON / FTTH & metro backbone design
  • Site surveys, routing & bill of quantities
  • Splicing, OTDR testing & commissioning
  • As-built documentation & mapping
Track 01 · MikroTik

The MikroTik certification ladder.

Start with MTCNA. It's the prerequisite for every other MikroTik course, so there's no way around it. After that the eight engineer tracks can be taken in any order.

Lab access from your browser.

We're building remote labs on MikroTik CHR so students can keep practising between sessions. Nothing to install, no hardware to buy. It isn't live yet.

  • Your own isolated CHR instance per lab session
  • Access straight from the browser — Winbox-style console, no installs
  • Guided lab sheets mapped to the MTCNA → MTCINE ladder
  • Time-boxed sessions so labs stay available for every cohort
No spam — just one email when CHR lab access opens up.
Why MikroTik East Africa

How we teach.

01

You configure actual routers

Physical RouterBOARD and CCR devices, not a simulator. It's the same gear you'll meet on the job.

02

Taught by Harmstone Lwimbuli

A MikroTik Certified Trainer who designs fiber and runs WISP cores the rest of the week. The examples in class come from those jobs.

03

We pass on job leads

ISPs, integrators and fiber contractors ask us for people. Strong graduates get referred.

04

Ask us things afterwards

Stuck on a deployment months later? Former students can still call. We'd rather you got it working.

Course fees.

Two rates: train with us in Nairobi, or we bring the course to you. Either way the fee covers the training, lab time on real hardware and your official exam voucher. Your own travel, accommodation and meals aren't included.

Questions

Before you enroll.

The things people usually ask before booking a track.

Are you an official MikroTik Training Centre?
Yes. We're an officially authorized MikroTik Training Centre, so the curriculum and the certification exam are both the official ones.
What happens if I don't pass the certification exam?
MikroTik's official rule: score 50–59% and you get a second attempt right away; below that, you'll need to retake the course itself no sooner than 30 days later.
What does the course fee cover — is accommodation included?
The fee covers the training, lab time on our hardware and your official MikroTik exam voucher. It does not cover travel, accommodation or meals — those are your own arrangement and your own cost. If you're coming to Nairobi from out of town, ask us and we'll point you to Airbnbs and hotels within walking distance of the centre; you book and pay for those directly.
Is training classroom-based or online?
Either, by arrangement — but per MikroTik's official rules, the certification exam itself is always sat in person.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Bring a laptop. Everything else is here: MikroTik RouterBOARD and CCR hardware, plus fusion splicers, OTDRs and Ubiquiti gear for those tracks. Lab equipment stays on site and we don't lend out laptops, so sort yours before the course starts.
Is there a fixed schedule, or can I start anytime?
Our current Nairobi cohort runs 15–18 September 2026, and the next is Kampala, Uganda, 14–16 October 2026. Beyond those we schedule on demand — tell us your track and timeline and we'll confirm a start date.
Do you train teams or corporate groups?
Often, yes. In-person or online, pitched at whatever level your team is already at.
Corporate & custom

Training a team, or need a quote?

Group bookings, on-site delivery, dates that suit your roster — plus fiber design and WISP support. Send us the details and we'll come back with a timeline and a quote.
